It never gets old. Sixteen years into my career as a professional copywriter and creative director, I relish every chance to learn about new things, strategize, problem-solve, and weave disparate data points into stories with soul.
I’ve seen it all—small agency life, where every creative wears every hat, and the bustle of global mega-agencies where the competition is immense but the wins taste incredible.
Now, I spend every day collaborating with business owners, marketing directors, and agency leads who need some special firepower to make creative memorable, actionable, and remarkable.

EDUCATION
I have a Master’s in British Literature from the University of Utah, which translates amazingly well to advertising and copywriting. Ads are metaphors; brands are fiction characters. A campaign is a story with a commercial application.
WORK
I cut my teeth as a copywriter at Backcountry.com, then graduated to Struck, an award-winning boutique agency. I eventually moved to McCann, where I worked on global powerhouse brands. Now a freelance CD, I spend a large portion of my time leading creative efforts at Right On, a sustainability-oriented agency, and spend the remainder of my time on projects I love.
PERSONAL & COMMUNITY
Outside work, I’m an athlete, mountain sports brand ambassador, educator, and mentor. I serve as VP of the Board of Directors for my favorite charity, Nuzzles & Co Pet Rescue and Adoption. I’m also heavily involved with the Utah Women’s Forum, a group furthering female leadership, activism, and progress in social justice.

Here’s what a typical project looks like. Of course, we adjust and adapt depending on what what you need and what the timeline demands. Once we’ve established a working relationship, we can get future projects queued up on a cadence that works perfectly for you.

We’ll have an initial discovery discussion to assess your needs and make sure we align well.
You’ll receive a custom proposal with a flat fee estimate, timeline, and recommendations.
If needed, we’ll create foundational materials like brand strategy, content strategy, or creative briefs.
Here’s our favorite part: crafting copy and, as needed, bringing in a design partner to make it shine.
Typically we go through a couple rounds of revision in which we gather feedback and refine accordingly.
Everything goes through a final proofread and quality assurance once-over before publishing.
